Global Dimension - search for Fairtrade resources
The Department for International Development has recently set up a comprehensive website - www.globaldimension.org.uk - where you can search for educational resources from a wide range of suppliers - both paid for a free. Search on "Fair trade" on the search box on the left to find around 50 resources suitable for promoting Fairtrade.
For parents:
Young Co-operatives
Co-operative Stores
As the UK's leading supermarket supporter of Fairtrade, the Co-op has a long term commitment to ensuring growers in developing countries get a fair deal. We sell more Fairtrade products in more stores than anyone else, but as a community retailer we are also committed to developing knowledge and awareness of Fairtrade at a local level. That is why we have compiled our new primary school guide, 'Make Your School Fairtrade Friendly.'
The guide is available freely to any individual - pupil, parent, governor or teacher and includes a wealth of information including:
• Fairtrade around the world - case studies, games and activities
• Make your school Fairtrade Friendly ideas for action and checklist
• Fairtrade teaching resources, lesson plans and workshops
You're in the right place to receive your copy of the pack, simply visit the Co-op Schools website to receive your free download or to request the free CD-Rom. Plus if you are a teacher or governor of a primary school in the UK, you can contact us to register your interest in a copy of the printed pack.
